Buying Stellar

Five purchase checks for XLM on Crypto.com
01

Check XLM and account eligibility

Open Crypto.com's official site, not a sponsored lookalike. Search for Stellar (XLM) in the spot or purchase product available to your account. Confirm the full asset name and any network or contract identifier; a matching ticker, derivatives contract or price page is not proof that you can buy and withdraw the asset.

02

Create and protect your account

If Crypto.com permits this product for your residence and account, follow its own registration and identity-verification flow. Use a unique password and strong two-factor authentication. Required documents and processing times depend on the provider and your account; no fixed approval time is promised. Which Crypto.com product are you actually comparing? Check the product name before comparing fees or following a tutorial. The Exchange App is the native mobile interface for Crypto.com Exchange, with trading and account-management functions. The main App has its own purchase flow, and the linked-transfer guide explicitly treats App and Exchange balances as separate sources and destinations. You should not assume a mobile purchase in the main App is an order submitted to the Exchange's matching engine.

03

Compare funding and total charges

Use only payment methods actually offered in your account. Read the deposit fee, settlement or withdrawal hold, and minimum before transferring funds. A trading fee is not a card-processing fee. A USDT or USDC quote balance is not the same as a USD bank deposit. What does the App's purchase fee disclosure establish? It establishes a transaction-specific charge, not one universal purchase percentage. The July 20, 2026 help article, checked October 14, says an admin fee may apply when you buy, sell or transact, depending on factors such as volatility, liquidity, market conditions and promotions. It says the fee appears in the trade preview. Your card issuer may separately charge for an international transaction or merchant category, so compare the overall payment route rather than a trading-rate headline.

04

Review the XLM order before confirming

If the exact asset is available, enter a budget in the supported quote currency and inspect the XLM quantity, total debit, spread and trading charge. Compare like-for-like previews at the same time. A limit order may not fill; an order that fills immediately can incur taker fees even if it is a limit order. Do not assume an advanced interface means zero fees.

05

Check XLM withdrawal and custody

Before withdrawing, confirm the exact asset and network supported by both Crypto.com and your receiving wallet, including any memo or tag. Check withdrawal availability, charges and holds. A test transfer can reduce address mistakes but does not prove a destination is trustworthy. Exchange custody and self-custody both have risks at any balance; never share a seed phrase.

Marked checks are your notes, not a safety certification or an instruction to trade.

What matters for XLM

Coin-specific reference notes. Exchange support must still be checked separately.

What is Stellar?

Stellar is a payment and asset network whose native currency is the lumen, or XLM. Lumens pay network fees and meet account reserve requirements. Dollar tokens and other issued assets on Stellar are separate claims or tokens, not XLM and not automatically redeemable through every wallet.

How can you buy Stellar safely?

Verify native XLM and Stellar network support, review all purchase and withdrawal charges, and test the route with a small transfer. Copy any required destination memo exactly. Do not buy a similarly named issued asset or assume that Stellar support means an account has no reserve requirements.

How much does it cost to buy Stellar?

The cost of buying XLM includes the executed market price, spread and platform or payment fees. Withdrawing can add a separate charge, while a self-custody account must satisfy Stellar reserve requirements. An account reserve is not the same thing as a trading fee.

How can you store Stellar securely?

Protect Stellar signing secrets or recovery material offline and inspect transaction operations before approving them. A transaction can contain more than a simple payment, so check account or signer changes carefully. Keep the reserve requirement in mind and distinguish self-custody from a provider-controlled account.

How do you send Stellar to another wallet?

Select native XLM, verify the Stellar destination and include the exact memo if the receiving service requires one. Preview the amount, fee and operations before signing. A new destination may need account creation rather than an ordinary payment, and issued assets follow different trustline rules.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can you buy Stellar on Crypto.com?

This checklist does not confirm current access to XLM in your Crypto.com account. Check the exact asset, spot or purchase product, and residence rules before depositing. Any public catalogue observation above is dated, product-specific evidence, not account eligibility or withdrawal support.

What is the minimum cost to buy XLM on Crypto.com?

Use the minimum and total charge displayed for your exact account, asset and order type. No current account-specific minimum is verified on this page. Any dated catalogue constraints above are not a universal retail purchase minimum or a total-cost quote. Trading, funding, spread and withdrawal costs must be checked separately.

How long does buying XLM on Crypto.com take?

There is no verified fixed completion time on this page. Identity review, funding settlement, order execution and withdrawal holds are separate stages. Check the status and estimated timing shown for each stage in your account; an accepted deposit does not guarantee an immediately withdrawable purchase.

What should you check before withdrawing XLM?

Confirm that the exchange and wallet support the same asset representation and network, and check whether a memo or tag is required. Review the destination address, minimum, network fee and withdrawal hold. Neither account registration nor a public spot listing certifies withdrawal support, insurance or the safety of your balance. This is not financial advice.
