Coinbase: which network should I send on?

The sender and recipient must use the same supported asset and network.

Documentation checked 2026-10-04. US scope; account restrictions may differ.

What should you check first?

  1. Select the asset in Coinbase's send flow and inspect the offered networks.
  2. Open the receiving wallet's receive screen for that same asset.
  3. Match both network names; similar addresses do not prove compatibility.

When should you stop?

If the receiving app does not support the chosen network, do not send. Recovery of an unsupported transfer is not guaranteed.

When should you contact support?

If a transfer was already submitted, save its transaction hash, asset, network and destination. Ask the receiving provider through official support about recovery; never disclose a seed phrase.

Use the help centre linked from the exchange's official website. CoinBBank cannot access your account, approve a payment or recover a transfer.
