How does API3 work?
API3 uses data signed by first-party providers, with Airnode connecting provider infrastructure to smart contracts. Applications read configured oracle proxies and must check timestamps and data validity themselves. Oracle services can operate on several chains while API3 token governance remains separate.
Who created API3?
The original API3 whitepaper credits Burak Benligiray, Sasa Milic and Heikki Vanttinen as its authors. That provides direct attribution for the project's founding design without inventing a wider founder roster. API3's later technical documents describe development and governance through its DAO.

Can you mine API3?
