Secret
(SCRT)

Secret here means the Cosmos-based Secret Network and its native SCRT coin on secret-4. Native SCRT pays transaction fees and supports staking and governance; its balances and transfers are public. sSCRT is a separate private-contract representation. The proposed Arbitrum ERC-20 is not the asset covered by these answers, and a signaling proposal does not itself convert native holdings.

How does Secret work?

Secret's Cosmos-native network uses delegated proof of stake for consensus and SGX-based trusted execution for confidential contracts. The current operator documentation still describes secret-4 validators and SGX prerequisites. Confidential contract data differs from public native SCRT balances and transfers. The Secret3 confidential-VM architecture is explicitly an unratified draft, so it is not substituted for the documented L1 mechanics.

Who created Secret?

SCRT Labs identifies itself as the founding core development team behind Secret Network. That historical attribution concerns the Cosmos-native network, not the separate Arbitrum token proposed later. Its announced withdrawal from Cosmos L1 support and the community-continuance proposals concern later stewardship, not a different origin for native SCRT.

Sources 4

What is Secret used for?

Native SCRT pays for transactions and computation on Secret Network and can be delegated to validators or used in governance. Private applications can instead use SNIP-20 representations such as sSCRT, but those balances do not replace native gas. These are L1 token roles, not a claim that any particular application or proposed Arbitrum staking product is currently available.

Where can you buy Secret?

Look for a platform that explicitly offers native SCRT and supports the Secret Network route you need. Verify its current market, account eligibility and enabled deposit or withdrawal network before buying. A same-ticker Arbitrum asset or an sSCRT balance is not native SCRT gas. The project's transition proposals do not verify any venue's current listing or your eligibility.

How can you buy Secret safely?

Before buying native SCRT, match the platform's withdrawal network to Secret Network and verify the receiving address and any required memo. Review the full order and withdrawal cost, protect account credentials, and test the route with a small transfer where practical. Keep native SCRT for fees. A proposal is not a reason to disclose recovery secrets or use an unsolicited migration link.

Sources 5

Can you buy a fraction of Secret?

Yes. Native SCRT supports fractions: current Secret validator documentation defines one SCRT as 1,000,000 uscrt. A trading service can impose larger order sizes, displayed precision or withdrawal minimums. This native denomination does not establish the precision of a proposed Arbitrum token, and a fractional sSCRT balance is not automatically available to pay native transaction fees.

Sources 4

How much does it cost to buy Secret?

Buying native SCRT can involve the order value, spread, trading or payment charges and a platform withdrawal fee. Subsequent Secret Network transactions require native SCRT gas, including private-contract interactions. Check the final spendable native balance and leave funds for fees; buying sSCRT or using a separate conversion route can add contract actions and costs.

Sources 5

How much is one Secret worth?

There is no fixed fiat value for one native SCRT. Check a recent SCRT quote against the platform's executable order, including spread and charges, and confirm that it delivers the Secret Network asset. Native SCRT, private sSCRT and a proposed Arbitrum representation must not be equated solely by ticker or assumed to share a guaranteed redemption price.

Sources 4

Is Secret a good investment?

Native SCRT carries market, liquidity, validator and smart-contract risks. Confidential execution depends on trusted hardware and access controls, not guaranteed anonymity or recovery. Changes in developer support and competing governance plans add continuity and execution risk; proposal publication is not proof of implementation. Delegation rewards and remediation plans do not protect principal. This is not financial advice.

Secret wallets & storage

How do you get a Secret wallet?

Choose wallet software that explicitly supports Secret Network's native SCRT and the secret-4 mainnet, not merely an ERC-20 token with the same ticker. Verify its network configuration and receiving address before funding, and back up recovery material privately. SNIP-20 viewing functionality concerns private-contract balances such as sSCRT and is separate from native coin support.

Sources 7

How can you store Secret securely?

Protect the keys and recovery phrase controlling your native Secret account, with a private offline backup. For SNIP-20 balances, viewing permissions reveal selected data but are not spending-key custody. Verify the exact asset and network before using a custodian or hardware integration. Ignore unsolicited migration requests, and distinguish wallet control from contract or custodian withdrawal conditions.

How do you send Secret to another wallet?

Send native SCRT through Secret Network to a recipient that explicitly accepts that network and asset. Verify the full receiving address and any required memo, retain native SCRT for fees, and review the transaction before signing. An sSCRT transfer is a separate contract action. An ordinary L1 send does not implement an Arbitrum migration.

Sources 6

How long does a Secret transfer take?

A native SCRT transfer needs Secret validators to include it, after which an exchange may apply additional crediting checks. Inspect the transaction result rather than treating wallet submission as arrival. Delegated SCRT must first complete the applicable unbonding process before it can be sent. Contract, bridge and migration operations are separate routes, so no universal delivery time is promised.

Sources 5

How much does it cost to send Secret?

Native SCRT pays Secret Network gas; uscrt is its accounting denomination. Fees depend on gas use and the accepting validator's fee policy, so review the current wallet estimate instead of treating historical examples as fixed prices. Private sSCRT cannot replace native gas, and a platform's withdrawal charge is separate from the network fee.

Sources 4

Can you cash out Secret for real money?

Cashing out native SCRT requires a provider that currently accepts Secret Network deposits, supports a sale into cash and allows fiat withdrawals for your account and location. Check its deposit instructions and any memo before sending. A private sSCRT balance, a crypto swap or a proposed migration allocation is not itself bank money or a guaranteed cash-out route.

Sources 4

Is Secret traceable?

Yes. Native SCRT balances and transfers are public on Secret Network. For SNIP-20 tokens such as sSCRT, documented privacy can hide amounts and recipients, while the sender's interaction with a contract remains visible and authorized viewing keys disclose more. Exchange records can also connect addresses to identities. The unratified Secret3 draft is not proof of deployed transfer anonymity.

Sources 5

Supply, mining & staking

What is the maximum supply of Secret?

The project's native SCRT documentation describes an inflationary issuance model with no fixed lifetime supply cap. This is an issuance-policy description, not a current total-supply quote or a guarantee that governance cannot change it. The proposed Arbitrum ERC-20 uses a different monetary-policy design; that proposal does not establish a maximum for Cosmos-native SCRT.

Sources 5

Can you mine Secret?

No. Native SCRT uses delegated proof of stake, not proof-of-work mining. Validators and delegators participate in the native security and reward model; SGX hardware supports confidential execution rather than a retail mining process. A third-party service paying SCRT for another activity is not evidence that the protocol has native PoW mining.

Sources 6

Can you stake Secret?

Yes, native Cosmos SCRT can be delegated to Secret Network validators. Current operator documentation describes delegation in uscrt, validator commission, slashing and an unbonding period. Check current validator and wallet support and the applicable terms; no example reward rate is guaranteed. Private sSCRT and the Arbitrum proposal's stSCRT are different representations, not interchangeable native delegations.
