How does SingularityNET work?
SingularityNET connects AI-service publishers and consumers through marketplace software and payment-channel smart contracts. Its current infrastructure defaults to FET, with deprecated AGIX contracts retained for legacy activity. Ethereum or Cardano validates the relevant token transactions; running an AI service does not itself operate an AGIX consensus network.
Who created SingularityNET?
SingularityNET was founded by Ben Goertzel and a team pursuing decentralized AI, with the project tracing its origins to 2017. The organization, the legacy AGIX token and the later ASI Alliance are related but distinct. Its research mission is not proof that artificial general intelligence has already been achieved.
What is SingularityNET used for?
AGIX historically paid for SingularityNET AI services and supported community participation, but the current marketplace defaults to FET. Legacy payment channels and migration workflows may still involve AGIX. Check the specific service and contract rather than assuming that holding AGIX gives access to every new SingularityNET product.
Where can you buy SingularityNET?
Verify a platform's official asset page before buying anything labeled SingularityNET. It may support FET, retain a legacy AGIX market, or no longer accept AGIX deposits at all. Check regional eligibility, the exact token contract and host chain; a historical AGIX listing does not establish present availability.
SingularityNET exchange reference guides
Before you buyNo exchange availability has been verified for this catalogue entry under the current full-name and symbol checks. This is not a delisting claim. Confirm the exact asset, trading access and withdrawal network through the provider before buying. All local checklists remain available at the end of this guide.

How can you buy SingularityNET safely?
Determine whether you need legacy AGIX or FET before buying, then match the contract and receiving chain. Ethereum-to-Cardano bridging transfers the same token and is not the same operation as AGIX-to-FET migration. Use official instructions, check operational notices and test unfamiliar transfers without sharing recovery material.
Can you buy a fraction of SingularityNET?
AGIX can be held in fractional amounts; buying one whole token is not required. The usable amount depends on host-chain precision, platform minimums and network costs. On Cardano, token transfers also need sufficient ADA-backed outputs, while an Ethereum transfer requires ETH for gas.
How much does it cost to buy SingularityNET?
Your cost depends on whether you buy AGIX or FET, the trade spread, platform charges and withdrawal network. Migration or bridging can require additional transactions and the host chain's gas asset. The documented AGIX-to-FET conversion is not one-for-one, so compare token quantities as well as the displayed unit prices.
How much is one SingularityNET worth?
Use this site's timestamped dynamic reference panel, first checking whether the quote is for legacy AGIX or the successor FET asset. They are not interchangeable prices or equal token quantities. Legacy markets may be thin or stale, so confirm an executable quote and available withdrawal route before relying on the reference.
Is SingularityNET a good investment?
Legacy AGIX has migration, liquidity, custody and smart-contract risks in addition to price volatility. New platform activity increasingly uses FET, so SingularityNET's technical progress does not necessarily create demand for AGIX. Historical staking or airdrop announcements do not guarantee current benefits. This is not financial advice.

SingularityNET wallets & storage
How do you get a SingularityNET wallet?
Choose an Ethereum token wallet or a Cardano native-asset wallet according to the AGIX you hold. Verify the official contract or asset identity and keep ETH or ADA available for the relevant chain. A native Fetch FET wallet is a different destination, not a place to send AGIX directly.
How can you store SingularityNET securely?
Protect the recovery material for the host-chain wallet holding AGIX, and verify token approvals and bridge destinations before signing. Keep old AGIX payment-channel balances distinct from the newer FET contracts. Migration support never justifies giving a website or support account your seed phrase or private key.
Sending & cashing out SingularityNET
Match your networks
For AGIX, copy the exact network names shown in your apps. This compares your entries, not a verified list of supported networks.
Copy the exact network name shown for this asset in each app. No supported-network catalogue is assumed here.
How do you send SingularityNET to another wallet?
Send AGIX on its existing host chain to a recipient that explicitly supports that same token and network. Ethereum transfers need ETH, while Cardano transfers need sufficient ADA and valid token outputs. For cross-chain movement use a currently supported bridge; converting AGIX into FET requires a separate migration operation.
How long does a SingularityNET transfer take?
AGIX transfer time depends on Ethereum or Cardano confirmation and the receiving service's processing policy. A bridge or migration adds contract and cross-chain stages, so it is not equivalent to an ordinary same-chain transfer. Check the bridge history and transaction status before repeating a request that appears delayed.
How much does it cost to send SingularityNET?
AGIX is not the gas coin of its host chain: Ethereum AGIX actions require ETH, and Cardano actions require ADA. Approvals, bridge claims or migration steps can add further transactions. Check the current wallet preview and required Cardano outputs rather than assuming AGIX alone is enough to complete a transfer.
Can you cash out SingularityNET for real money?
Cash-out requires a platform that currently accepts your exact AGIX version and offers a usable fiat withdrawal route. Some platforms migrated to FET, so verify deposits before sending legacy tokens. A supported AGIX-to-FET migration may be a separate step, but it is not a guaranteed sale or bank redemption.
Is SingularityNET traceable?
AGIX transfers are public host-chain transactions, and bridging creates additional records rather than making the token anonymous. Wallet addresses alone do not prove identity, but exchange records and transaction patterns can link activity to an owner. The privacy of an AI service's off-chain data is separate from token-transfer visibility.
Supply, mining & staking
What is the maximum supply of SingularityNET?
SingularityNET's historical Phase Two model planned a total of two billion tokens: the original billion plus another billion released over 91 years. Its 2021 annual report confirms AGI was replaced with AGIX and that additional issuance began in July 2021. This is AGIX's published issuance plan, not the successor FET supply cap or a measurement of legacy tokens still circulating after migration. The current marketplace defaults to FET.
Can you mine SingularityNET?
You cannot mine AGIX through its own proof-of-work network because it is an issued token on Ethereum and Cardano. Providing an AI service or earning an ecosystem incentive is not AGIX consensus mining. After migration, native FET also uses proof of stake rather than a hardware-mining model.
Can you stake SingularityNET?
Do not assume the old AGIX staking programs are still active: SingularityNET's official overview records their September 2024 closure. An ERC-20 or Cardano staking product is an application contract, not an AGIX consensus chain. Native FET delegation after migration is a different activity with validator and unbonding conditions.
