Enjin Coin
(ENJ)

Enjin Coin is now the native ENJ coin of Enjin Blockchain, an NFT-focused network. Legacy ENJ also exists as an Ethereum ERC-20 token and requires the official migration process to become native ENJ. The two network balances are not interchangeable through an ordinary transfer.

How does Enjin Coin work?

Enjin Blockchain uses a relaychain and Matrixchain architecture, with Nominated Proof of Stake documented for its relaychain. Native ENJ supports network operations and staking. This is different from legacy ERC-20 ENJ, whose transactions execute on Ethereum rather than directly on Enjin Blockchain.

Sources 2

Who created Enjin Coin?

Enjin's co-founders are Maxim Blagov and Witek Radomski, identified in its original whitepaper. ENJ began as an Ethereum token before the later Enjin Blockchain migration. Historical founder information should not be confused with a guarantee about the current network, token price or every application using it.

What is Enjin Coin used for?

Native ENJ pays transaction fees and storage deposits, participates in staking, and can be infused into supported MultiTokens. Melting an infused token can release its embedded ENJ under the token's rules. This backing is a specified ENJ amount, not a guaranteed fiat resale value.

Where can you buy Enjin Coin?

Check official platform notices for ENJ trading and supported deposit and withdrawal networks. Do not assume Ethereum ENJ and native Enjin Blockchain ENJ are both available. The migration FAQ explicitly leaves integration decisions to individual platforms, so availability must be confirmed for your account and region.

How can you buy Enjin Coin safely?

Verify the ENJ network and destination before buying or withdrawing. Native ENJ needs an Enjin-compatible address and wallet, not merely an Ethereum receive screen. Follow official migration instructions for legacy tokens, and never send funds to a supposed burn address without the documented claim workflow.

Source 1

Can you buy a fraction of Enjin Coin?

Yes, ENJ supports fractional balances. However, native Enjin accounts have an existential-deposit requirement, so a tiny balance is not always equivalent to a usable account. Check the wallet's keep-alive behavior, current account requirements and any platform minimum order or withdrawal size.

Source 1

How much does it cost to buy Enjin Coin?

Include the purchase price, spread, platform fees and withdrawal cost. Native Enjin activity can require ENJ transaction fees and storage or account deposits. Migrating legacy Ethereum ENJ also needs Ethereum gas; that is a separate cost from operating the native Enjin account.

Use the site's timestamped dynamic reference panel for ENJ's current quote and check its update time. Verify whether your trading platform supports native ENJ or legacy Ethereum ENJ. A displayed ticker does not prove you can withdraw the same representation your wallet or staking route requires.

Enjin Coin wallets & storage

How do you get an Enjin Coin wallet?

Choose a wallet explicitly supporting Enjin Blockchain, such as the officially documented Enjin Wallet workflow, and create the correct native account. Secure its recovery material offline. If you hold legacy ERC-20 ENJ, keep the Ethereum account separate and use the official migration interface rather than copying addresses blindly.

Sources 2

How can you store Enjin Coin securely?

Protect native ENJ keys with offline backups and verify that your signer supports Enjin Blockchain, not only Ethereum tokens. Review keep-alive settings before moving most of a balance. Staked ENJ or sENJ carries pool and slashing risks that ordinary key protection cannot remove.

How do you send Enjin Coin to another wallet?

Use the wallet's native Enjin transfer for native ENJ and confirm the recipient's exact chain and address. Leave enough for fees and account requirements, using keep-alive protections where appropriate. Sending legacy ERC-20 ENJ to a native account is not the documented migration process.

Sources 2

How long does an Enjin Coin transfer take?

Native transfers, Ethereum transfers and migration claims follow different processing paths. A migration is not just a fast native ENJ payment, and a platform may add its own crediting checks. Track the appropriate transaction and claim status instead of relying on historical completion estimates.

Source 1

How much does it cost to send Enjin Coin?

Native Enjin transactions use ENJ for fees, with some actions also requiring storage deposits. Legacy Ethereum ENJ transfers and migration preparation require ETH gas. Check the current wallet estimate and deposit requirements; a returned storage deposit is different from a consumed transaction fee.

Sources 2

Can you cash out Enjin Coin for real money?

Verify a platform accepts the ENJ representation and network you actually hold before depositing. Native staked ENJ may require unbonding and withdrawal first, while legacy ERC-20 tokens may need a supported migration route. A sale and a fiat withdrawal are separate platform-dependent operations.

Sources 2

Is Enjin Coin traceable?

Native Enjin transfers and staking actions are recorded on a public chain; legacy ERC-20 activity is visible on Ethereum. Migration does not create anonymity or erase the earlier trail. Custodial services and counterparties may connect these addresses and movements to an identified owner.

Supply, mining & staking

What is the maximum supply of Enjin Coin?

The old one-billion ERC-20 supply is not a maximum for native ENJ. Enjin's migration introduced a larger native allocation, and its nomination-pool documentation describes ongoing inflation funding staking rewards. Check current native chain supply rather than reusing Ethereum contract totals as a lifetime cap.

Sources 2

Can you mine Enjin Coin?

No. Native Enjin consensus uses Nominated Proof of Stake, not proof-of-work mining. ENJ rewards arise through the documented validator and nomination-pool system. A cloud-mining product promising ENJ is a separate service, not a way to contribute native Enjin hashpower.

Source 1

Can you stake Enjin Coin?

Yes, native ENJ can participate in nomination pools; staked positions are represented by pool-specific sENJ. Check the nominated validators, slashing exposure, capacity and unbonding rules. Legacy Ethereum ENJ must follow the proper migration route first, and sENJ units are not necessarily a fixed one-to-one liquid ENJ claim.
