How does Loopring work?
Loopring's rollup design batches activity and uses zero-knowledge proofs for settlement on Ethereum. LRC is a protocol token rather than the gas coin of an independent proof-of-stake chain. Continued contract existence does not establish that old trading interfaces or mobile-wallet services remain operational.
Who created Loopring?
Daniel Wang founded Loopring, as explicitly identified in the project's February 2022 leadership announcement. Founder identity is separate from later management and service availability. Loopring's May 2025 notice discontinued the mobile smart-wallet interface after June 30, 2025; it did not say that Wang's founding role or all underlying protocol contracts disappeared.

Do not install the old Loopring mobile wallet as a new custody recommendation: its interface was discontinued. What is the maximum supply of Loopring?
Ethereum's LRC v2 contract began with about 1.395 billion LRC. Its verified source sets that balance in the constructor, has no mint function, and reduces totalSupply when tokens are burned. This is a contract-specific issuance bound, not today's circulating amount. Loopring's April 2019 upgrade notice identifies the v2 contract separately from the old token; its later tokenomics describes fee distributions, which should not be confused with minting new LRC.
Can you mine Loopring?
LRC is not a hardware-mined proof-of-work coin. Historical Loopring 'ring-miners' matched orders, and later rollup operators handled transaction processing; neither role means mining Ethereum LRC token block rewards. Current availability of any related incentive program needs separate verification.
Can you stake Loopring?
LRC has supported protocol fee-sharing staking, rather than native validator staking on an independent LRC blockchain. Loopring's July 2019 model described global staking with a minimum 90-day lock; the January 2021 tokenomics replaced that model with rewards for liquidity providers, insurers and the DAO. These are historical terms, not a current deposit offer or guaranteed APY. The mobile wallet's June 2025 closure also means an old app guide cannot establish today's staking or withdrawal route.
